Job Description
A hardware engineer is someone who designs, tests, and analyses computer hardware. For example, someone who creates a new motherboard, and tests it would be considered a computer hardware engineer. Many computer hardware engineers already have prior knowledge of computer hardware, and on how a computer is made, etc.
Job Requirements
All hardware engineers should have basic knowledge on computer components, and electrical boards alike. Many certified hardware engineers should have a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. Degrees in physics, optics and photonics are also required for some jobs. This job also requires analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
